| Up to ₨ 25,000 | ₨ 500 (Fixed) |
| ₨ 25,001 - ₨ 50,000 | 5% of amount |
| ₨ 50,001 - ₨ 1,00,000 | 3.5% of amount |
| ₨ 1,00,001 - ₨ 5,00,000 | 2% of amount |
| 5,00,001 to 25,00,000 | 1.5% of amount |
| More than 25,00,000 | 1% of amount |
Note: Fees are calculated cumulatively based on amount brackets.
Legal Information
Legal Basis: Court Fees are determined according to Section 69 of the National Civil Procedure Code 2017 of Nepal.
Who Pays: Initially paid by the claimant, but the losing party may be ordered to reimburse the winner.
Payment Method: Court fees must be paid in cash. No other form of security is accepted.
Payment Timing: Usually paid at case registration, but may be deferred until final judgment for financial hardship cases.

Example 1
Claim Amount: ₨ 20,000
Court Fee: ₨ 500
Fixed fee for amounts up to ₨ 25,000
Example 2
Claim Amount: ₨ 75,000
Court Fee: ₨ 2,625
₨500 + ₨1,250 + ₨875 (cumulative calculation)
Example 3
Claim Amount: ₨ 2,00,000
Court Fee: ₨ 5,500
All brackets applied cumulatively
